Locals have a range of cafes and dining options on hand, including the revived Fishermen's Wharf which offers a casual seafood takeaway as well as a stylish restaurant with views across the water and out to charming Pelican Island. Capturing a sparkling backdrop over Brisbane Water, The Boathouse at the Koolewong Marina is another elegant waterfront dining option.
Woy Woy is home to two public primary schools, Woy Woy South and Woy Woy, with the senior campus of Brisbane Water Secondary College is also located within the area. The Catholic school, St John the Baptist Primary, is located on Dulkara Road.
